One of my favorite ways to relax and destress is through taking an Epson salt bath. What I love most is that it only takes 20 minutes to feel the healing benefits of a warm Epson salt bath.
As an autoimmune warrior, the benefits of soaking in an Epson salt bath have been phenomenal.
Those benefits include:
- Muscle relaxation, which can help alleviate pain and stiffness
- Reduction of inflammation
- Improved sleep quality due to relaxation; and enhanced magnesium absorption
The recommended dosage of Epsom salt for baths generally ranges from 1 to 2 cups dissolved in warm bathwater. Soaking for 20 minutes allow the magnesium to be absorbed effectively. In addition to the Epsom salt, I have also added a few drops of organic lavender essential oils which gives a wonderful relaxing aroma to my entire bathroom.
